Vision for Society:

To provide a forum for like minded guitar players to expand their fingerpicking skills in the style of Atkin, Reed, to name a few, plus folk, country, jazz etc.

Most of us, who fingerpick, do it in seclusion, always very persistent in honing our fingerpicking prowess, again in isolation. In a club setting we will have the opportunity to meet other players and together, we can expand our fingerpicking skills in a social, inclusive, friendly atmosphere.

Pima Fingerpicking Guitar Society Our Next Meeting :                         Saturday, Sept. 21th, 2019, 1:30-4:30 pm.

At: Douglas Street School Recreation Centre, Truro.

First meeting agenda:

1. welcome

2. Jamming or performing or both?

3. Club dues: pay per session, set amount for yearly dues, who pays?

4. Should we have a President, Vice, Treasurer?

5. Acoustic or electric guitars or both?

6. Any questions?

Non-judgemental, friendly. Different guitar fingerpicking styles such as: Travis, Atkins, Ross, folk, jazz, etc. or your very own style of fingerpicking!

Please note: To be successful in the group and to make it more enjoyable, it is assumed that you have a certain level of guitar knowledge and skill. For example: you know what a C, D,G, Em, F chord are, how to form them and move quickly between them. Knowing how to tune your guitar is a must as well.
